Xavier Sole’s artistic research reflects on the social perception of Good and Evil. Through satire, the current work deepens in an infantilized society, where the boundaries between nastiness and enjoyment are blurred. By manipulating playfulness, the interactive pieces create excuses for the audience to engage with wrongdoing and have a bittersweet fun in doing so.
Highly influenced by Goya, the political vision is combined and inspired by the work of Carsten Höller, Jake and Dinos Chapman or Paul Mc Carthy. This combination is executed in a wide variety of techniques such as digital prototyping, VR, web-art, tactical media, video, drawing and happenings. The aim is to create a distorted playground and have a long queue of people willing to play.
